After almost eight years working for a healthcare IT company, Benita Abraham of Long Beach, California was laid off from her  in December last year, Forbes reports.

“After eight years at the same company I just kind of took a little bit of a break. I went and travelled and visited my family in India, and after I got back, I really didn’t start the job hunt until February,” she said.

She applied for up to 300 jobs, and declined two offers–one because the salary was too low and the other because she felt it wasn’t a good fit.

Abraham said she saw the opening for her current job in June. “I was really excited, I was really hoping this would be the one.” She declined to name the company, but says it’s the same field.

To celebrate her new job, she used an an engagement-style photo shoot to celebrate the life moment.

“I finally found my soulmate, my perfect match, my boo. After seven long months, I found the perfect job with a company that truly cares about its employees and one I will learn so much from,” she wrote in a Facebook photo album post .

Her fabulous photo shoot become an instant  hit on the internet, having been shared over 14,000 times and garnering thousands of likes since she posted it on Sunday.

Why did this new employee, who just started her job want to show off she is employed again in such a way? In Benita’s own words, “I just think there are so many other things to celebrate, and I just think it should be done.” she told

She added that it was her her friends who suggested a photo shoot. “[They told me] You should do this photo shoot like how all these people are doing their engagement sessions and maternity pictures and first birthdays,”  said Abraham.
