Willis Towers Watson, the global advisory, broking and solutions company, has appointed Vivek Nath as its Singapore country head.

Nath has been with the organisation, i.e. the former Watson Wyatt, since May 2006. He has served a number of geographies since, including Kuala Lumpur, Gurgaon, and Singapore, where his most recent role is as head of South Asia (SEA and India) – which he continues alongside the new responsibility.

Scott Burnett, head of Asia, Willis Towers Watson, commented: “His (Nath’s) experience in working with conglomerates and multinational family businesses operating in Southeast Asia has provided him with the strong market knowledge needed to lead and grow our business in this exciting market.”

In his continuing role as head of South Asia, Nath will lead the firm’s businesses across markets while overseeing strategy and managing relationships with key clients across the Southeast Asia region.

Through his two decades of consulting and client management experience in India, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Brunei, Nath has been credited with leading transformation and globalisation efforts.

He commented: “As organisations enter new markets, they are faced with a number of challenges and risks, such as those arising from the digitisation of value chains and business models, multi-jurisdictional legal requirements, and supply chain risks.

“I’m excited to play a part in helping these companies grow from Singapore, while understanding the importance of moving away from traditional one-size-fits-all talent and risk strategies.”
