Having been with Pall Corporation in Singapore since 2014, Tom Kraabel has been assigned a new global role with Pall Corporation that sees him relocating to the United States. As vice president for talent acquisition and development, Kraabel will be responsible for leading the talent functions globally.
Most recently the HR vice president for the Asia Pacific region, Kraabel was instrumental in the transition from a geographic model to a business unit led structure, all while working to integrate Pall Corporation into the Danaher operating culture.
To set his previous role in context, Pall Corporation was acquired by Danaher a little less than two years ago. The acquisition brought in a number of resources for both talent acquisition (TA) and development.
On the development front, by collaborating with his new Danaher colleagues, Kraabel and his team were able to significantly increase the development opportunities for Pall associates via in-house programmes. In addition, the HR team’s capabilities grew by their inclusion in train-the-trainer sessions for the corporate programmes.
Going forward, he will also focus on strengthening the main levers of the organisation’s talent acquisition model by using a hybrid approach of an expanded RPO relationship, in-house capabilities, and resources from the Danaher corporate TA team.
Speaking to Human Resources, he explained: “The resources available through our parent company, Danaher, will allow us to take better advantage of scale, improving the services we offer, and potentially reducing cost. As a career HR business partner, this new role is also a great opportunity for me to expand my technical abilities in these two key areas.”
