It’s fair to say Uber has plans to take over the road of the world.
After expanding into various parts of Asia over the last year the technology app, which provides a door-to-door private car service, is now expanding to 12 smaller cities across greater China and Taiwan.
According to this post on LinkedIn, the company is looking for general managers, operations managers, recruiters and community managers in Chinese cities such as Chengdu, Chongqing, Nanjing, Wuhan, Tianjin, Qingdao, Hangzhou, Ningbo, and Suzhou. It is also looking for people to fill roles in Taichung and Kaohsiung in Taiwan.
Uber currently has offices in Hong Kong, as well as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzen in the mainland.
“Following success in America and Europe, Uber launched in Asia last summer, targeting Shanghai as the first major Chinese city. Based on stellar growth in initial markets, we’re continuing to expand across the country,” the post reads.
“This is a unique chance to be an early employee in one of the world’s highest-growth startups, while shaping a nascent brand in Greater China.
“Our founding Greater China team will have all the fun and do all the building of a true startup, backed with significant resources — engineering, capital, investors, expertise — to help us grow.”
The company is also still hiring across Singapore, currently looking for a number of HR roles to be filled including HR Business Partner APAC, benefits and payroll specialist and two recruitment roles.
