Software developer, Dataiku has announced its intention to accelerate the expansion in Asia Pacific.
At a media briefing yesterday, the company explained that the move came in support of more customers in Asia Pacific, and the adoption of academic licenses by universities such as National University of Singapore (NUS) in Singapore.
To accelerate its expansion and support customers in Asia Pacific, Dataiku has appointed Albert Antoine, a veteran AI and data scientist based in Singapore, as its senior vice president for the Asia Pacific region. In his new role, Antione will be responsible for growing the Dataiku presence in Asia Pacific, starting in Singapore.
Having started the operations of business optimisation software firm ILOG in Asia Pacific in January 1989 and led it for 17 years, Antoine has extensive experience in Asia Pacific. He holds a masters in robotic and artificial intelligence from the International Institute of Artificial Intelligence of Marseille, France, as well as a masters of business administration (MBA) in strategic management and management of technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sloan School of Management.
In May this year, Dataiku launched the Dataiku Academic Program to provide completely free licensing, support, and learning resources for teachers, researchers, and students in data science and business analytics fields.
NUS Business Analytics Centre (BAC) and Dataiku are exploring the collaboration in Artificial Intelligence (AI) area. Both parties will work together to provide the world-class AI education and research opportunity to the students in NUS Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) programme.
Founded in Europe in 2013, the start-up has grown into a global brand synonymous with driving innovation through cutting-edge data science and machine learning technologies.
Dataiku’s unique enterprise platform is designed for the increased productivity and collaboration of data scientists, programmers, and analysts within and across organisations. Its flagship product, Dataiku Data Science Studio (DSS), provides end-to-end solution for developing and deploying predictive analytics solutions with speed and precision.
“Our driving philosophy at Dataiku is the idea that everyone should be able to contribute or gather insight from data science,” said Florian Douetteau, CEO of Dataiku.
“We adhere to this because, in today’s world, we know that the most competitive data-driven organisations are the ones that make the most of all of their data, and the most effective way to do this is to empower people to use the tools they know best. This is why we strive to deliver the best possible platform for collaboration that also combines the most advanced data science and machine learning technologies.”
