According to Hirey, making digital the new core and leveraging HR technology can help employers achieve greater results.
“The role of HR technology is fast becoming critical to the very survival of the HR function as more and more companies are putting talent onto their main agendas and are expecting HR to deliver greater value and impact to business,” he says.
In order to achieve this, HR will not only need to implement systems which free them from routine work, but also leverage technology, particularly in the areas of communication and analytics, to impact business and make a positive contribution.
“It is only through this can the HR function ensure that the organisation is future ready.”

With more than 19 years of HR experience, Hirey has had an all-round experience in talent acquisition, OD interventions, legal issues, employee engagement and communications.
In his current role at GroupM, he is in charge of the talent strategy for Maxus across APAC and special GroupM technology driven projects, aimed at improving efficiencies and productivity of people and creating an employer brand through leveraging of social media.
