The Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF), Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) and DDI-Asia/Pacific International (DDI) have been voted as the preferred companies for management training by HR professionals in Singapore.

This is according to Vendors of the Year 2014, an annual special edition published by Human Resources magazine, Asia’s most read and respected source of HR news.

This is the first time SNEF has been placed in the top spot in this category. SIM retains its second place spot from 2014, while DDI moves up a place from fourth.

“Quality and relevancy are the two key points of a better service to the HR community. The breadth of the programmes that SNEF offers in terms of services are why we have been nominated,” said Stephen Yee, assistant executive director and senior director of training at SNEF.

He added their nomination would also stem from their tripartite presence, and the fact they have been established for more than 20 years.

Ronald Tan, executive director of SIM, said HR professionals choose their services due to their wide variety of training selections, as well as their reliability for high quality training programmes.

“We have become even more focused in our offerings in this past 12 months as the business is beginning to request for very specific requirements in terms of ROI for spending on staff training. In fact, it calls for alignment of training programmes to their business objectives over and above learning objectives.”

Victor L. Magdaraog, vice president of DDI, said their approach to talent management overall gives organisations the flexibility to make better talent decisions quickly.

“We can develop a blueprint that will help you understand the capacity and capability of talent at all levels to meet current and future business needs,” he said. “We tightly connect business strategy to talent strategy, and go one step further by building the threads from these strategies into our talent services and tools.”
