Alan Chua takes on a new role at Philips
Philips has appointed Chua as recruitment marketing manager, APAC with effect from January 2016. Based in Singapore, Chua’s responsibilities include developing and deploying recruitment marketing strategies to attract talent across targeted segments into Philips as well as managing Philips’ employment brand across key channels in the APAC region. He joined Philips from Korn Ferry where he was the APAC marketing manager.
Johnny Liew is the country head of HR at Motorola Solutions Malaysia
Motorola Solutions Malaysia has promoted Johnny Liew to country head of HR effective January 2016. In this role, he will remain based in Bayan Lepas, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia. Liew joined Motorola Solutions Malaysia in 2012 as senior human resources manager.
Kenneth Kan is Hong Kong International Terminals’ HR manager
Hong Kong International Terminals (HIT) has appointed Kenneth Kan to the role of HR manager effective January 2016. Coming with 11 years of HR experience, Kan was most recently senior HR manager at Perfect Combo for six years. He remains based in Hong Kong for his new role.
Nicholas Ong joins Qatar Airways as a recruitment specialist
Qatar Airways brings Nicholas Ong on board as recruitment specialist. Reporting to the headquarters in Doha, Ong is responsible for planning, strategising and spearheading the airlines’ talent and requisition initiatives for commercial and ground services categories, effective April 25. He moves from executive search firm Brilent AP, where he was senior consultant.
UMW Toyota Motor has a new human resources executive
Hafizi Heffi has taken up a role as an human resources executive at UMW Toyota Motor effective from April 2016. Hafizi joins the firm from MMC Gamuda Joint Venture (PDP) where he was a human resources executive in recruitment. In this new role, he will remain based in Malaysia.
WiFi Master Key appoints William U as staffing director
WiFi Master Key has appointed William U to the role of staffing director effective April 2016. Previously a client team manager at Hays, U will remain based in Shanghai, China in this role and will focus primarily on recruitment and team management.

AXA appoints HR business partner, learning & talent development
Dennis Lee is now AXA’s HR business partner, learning & talent development. Lee remains based in Hong Kong at the Asia regional office. With almost 12 years of HR experience, Lee joins AXA from DFS Group where his most recent role was as the senior manager of global learning and development.
Victoria Pretty has been promoted to the role of HR business partner
Zurich Insurance Company has promoted Victoria Pretty from HR talent manager to HR business partner, effective January 2016, based in Singapore. With 11 years of HR experience, Pretty joined Zurich Insurance Company from Armajaro Trading where she was the senior international HR officer.
LinkedIn has a new senior director of human resources
Nutan Singapuri has taken up a role at LinkedIn as senior director of HR with effect from April 2016, based in Singapore. Singapuri comes with ten years of HR experience, her most recent role being the director of human resources management, Asia Pacific at Microsoft.
Edward Low joins Manulife Technology & Services as employee relations executive
Manulife Technology & Services has appointed Edward Low, previously a talent acquisition specialist, as employee relations executive, effective April 2016. His responsibilities include building a positive and innovative working environment with high levels of employee engagement, based in Damansara Heights.
Bajaj Allianz General Insurance appoints head, HR business partner & analytics
Bajaj Allianz General Insurance has promoted Saptarshu Bhattacharya to the role of head, HR business partner and HR analytics effective April 2016. Bhattacharya was previously the head of talent acquisition & HR analytics. In his new role, Bhattacharya will remain based in Pune, India.
Dalvin Kaur is now part of Experis
Experis has appointed Dalvin Kaur as the head of the Experis and Borderless talent solution department. Kaur has almost 13 years of experience managing the solutions with her most recent role being the Borderless talent solutions manager at ManpowerGroup. She remains based in Kuala Lumpur.
Abigail Lim takes up a role at Hunters International
Hunters International has appointed Abigail Lim as its principal consultant with effect from April 2016. With 16 years of HR experience, Lim’s most recent role was as the HR manager at PERI Formwork Malaysia. Lim will remain based in Malaysia in this role.
Alston Yong becomes a team lead at Randstad Malaysia
Randstad Malaysia has appointed Alston Yong to team lead for engineering and manufacturing as of April 2016, managing the manufacturing and engineering team covering across a number of sectors including industrial manufacturing in the Kuala Lumpur office. Yong was previously the senior consultant for property and construction for Michael Page Malaysia.
Rosalind Potts takes up senior consultant role at Leadership labs
Founded by Potts, the talent development firm sees her taking up a senior consultant role, effective March 2016, based in Singapore. Her responsibilities include designing and delivering assessment and development centers as well as implementing diverse talent strategies. Prior to this, she was the global manager of organisation capability (marketing) at BHP Billition.
McGregor Boyall has appointed Ros Lin as new recruiter for technology
The recruitment consultancy has appointed Lin as new recruiter for technology effective April 2016. Lin was previously an account manager at RP International and an associate consultant IT&T at Chandler Macleod Group prior to that. In her new role, Lin will remain based in Singapore.
Charles Wu has been promoted to associate for consumer practice
Korn Ferry Futurestep has promoted Wu to associate for consumer practice, up from talent sourcing specialist. This promotion took effect in April 2016 and Wu will remain based in Hong Kong. Prior to joining the management consultancy, Wu was a recruitment specialist at Ensogo.
Drake International has promoted Jayson Mendoza
The talent management solutions developer has promoted Jayson Mendoza to managing consultant with effect from April 2016. Previously a recruitment consultant, in this new role Mendoza will be responsible for delivering targeted sourcing and end-to-end recruitment handling specific accounts from various industries. He will remain based in the Philippines.
Nian Carla Cruz has been promoted by Alexander Mann Solutions
The RPO and staffing specialist firm has promoted Cruz to principal specialist of sourcing and RPO solutions as of April 2016. She was previously lead sourcing specialist for resourcing augmentation. Prior to joining Alexander Mann Solutions, Cruz had a short stint at ZMG Ward Howell as a senior associate. She will remain based in the Philippines.
Executive search firm EMA Partners India has a new principal consultant
EMA Partners India has promoted Ratneshwar Banerjee to the role of principal consultant from senior consultant, effective April 2016. An experienced professional in headhunting, programme management, executive training and business development, he continues to be based in Bengaluru, India.
