The future of the HR model will be focused on centres of expertise/excellence (COE), business HR, and shared services.
The COE will have experts in talent management, total rewards, and talent acquisition, which will drive the process, and develop tools to help managers manage their human capital.
Business HR will be a partner to the business leader to drive HR strategies aligned to the business strategies. Shared services will manage all transactional workloads through cloud-based systems.
Each cluster will require the right capabilities and competencies.
Gone are the days of an HR generalist – a Jack of all trades. Such HR talent is limited and in demand, and coupled with tight headcount control, the need to attract and hire the right talent becomes mandatory to achieve success.
