Sharing their knowledge and best practices at HR Tech Interactive, the regional invitation-only HR technology event for HR leaders and senior HRIS specialists, are the HR elites from DLA Piper, Digi, and Viva Generik. They will join the phenomenal line-up of speakers in exploring the latest technological breakthroughs and issues affecting investment decisions in HR tech.

HR Tech Interactive 2016 is a one-day conference for HR business and technology specialists happening in Hong Kong on 30 September, in Kuala Lumpur on 6 September, and in Singapore on 15 September.

“To succeed in HR technology integration, companies have to harmonise drive for innovation, a growth mindset, and overall business goals,” said Aditi Sharma Kalra, regional editor of Human Resources magazine. “The speakers at HR Tech Interactive this year will reveal how this can be done with the right leadership and strong action plan.”

HR Tech Interactive will tackle issues the latest research has found to be affecting the HR community and businesses in general, including big data analytics, workforce management systems, mobile-enabled processes, social media campaigns, and talent management applications. Among the experts discussing these at HR Tech Interactive 2016 are:

Anita Lam, solicitor advocate for employment practice at DLA Piper, has extensive experience in data privacy matters, regularly assisting clients in dealing with privacy complaints, compliance checks, and personal data issues.

With a broad experience in employment law, Lam is one of the few solicitors in Hong Kong who possess higher rights of audience granted by the Higher Rights Assessment Board to conduct trials in the High Court and argue cases in the Court of Appeal and Court of Final Appeal.

For Bilal Waris, digital HR is about rethinking how to use new capabilities to design and deliver the best possible experience across all processes of HR. As head of talent acquisition and management at Digi, Waris is focused on driving the company’s digital HR agenda.

He developed his expertise in the areas of service design, strategy, and digital programme management prior to his recent assignment. Waris carries over 10 years of experience in using technology to design customer experience and improve processes.

Real-world HR issues such as HR technology and evolution, diversity, as well as the power of authenticity are the passions of Susan Chen, chief HR & organisational development officer at Viva Generik. Her professional background spans across industries, such as retail, hospitality, telecommunication, energy, financial services and most recently, healthcare.

Chen holds a master’s degree in international employment relations & human resource management from the London School of Economics, and a PhD in Management from the University of Stavanger, Norway. She is also a Certified Associated coach accredited by the International Coaching Academy.

Past HR Tech Interactive participants are senior HR leaders from majoremployers in the region, such as AXA, Credit Suisse, Ericsson, Hewlett Packard, Hyatt Group, Maersk, Petronas, SocieteGenerale, UPS, and Volvo.  All presenters & panellists, such as David Chin, chief human resources officer at Biosensors, were director or vice president level HR professionals with regional responsibility.

Held in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong in September, HR Tech Interactive is Asia’s biggest HR technology strategy event. Attendance to the one-day annual event is by invitation only with invitations reserved for the senior in-house HR professionals.

Human Resources’ “Interactive-style” conference format applies to case study presentations, panel discussions and roundtable discussions in which delegates work through five topic areas in a single day – an experience described by attendees as eight hours of intense peer learning.
