With an outstanding regional recruitment programme, GroupM was one of the hottest winners at the Asia Recruitment Awards 2016, bagging gold at the Malaysia edition of the awards, silver at the awards in Hong Kong as well as in Singapore (tied with Ericsson).
Angela Ryan, GroupM’s chief talent officer APAC, commented on the sweep: “Recruitment is our first connection point with talent and our innovation in this area reflects what we stand for and how we stand apart from other organisations.
“I am very proud of our exceptional talent acquisition team and that their achievements have merited such high recognition from the judges.”
Asia Recruitment Awards, held for the second consecutive year, are the region’s premier awards for recognising and rewarding excellence in recruitment, across in-house recruitment teams as well as recruitment agencies, held in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.
Following GroupM, the Malaysia edition of Asia Recruitment Awards 2016 saw Maybank crowned the silver winner in the category of best regional recruitment programme, while the bronze was presented to Reckitt Benckiser.
All entries submitted were judged by a pool of more than 60 senior HR practitioners from the corporate and public sector across Asia.
Meanwhile, over in Singapore, SAP Asia emerged tops in the country and took home the gold award in the category. Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) was awarded silver in the category, while Ericsson bagged the bronze.
Commenting on the win, Li-Ki Khaw, head of HR at the bank said ANZ is constantly on the search for the best talent.
“We want the best talent working at ANZ. With a global recruitment model in place, our recruitment team is strongly positioned to access and secure great talent from across the region. To capitalise on this strength, we have further developed and enhanced our internal capabilities to build global talent pipelines through proactive sourcing activities and introduce cross-border talent acquisition initiatives aligned to our business’ strategy,” she said.
SAP, in fact, also clinched the bronze award in Hong Kong, while ANZ was crowned as the gold winner.
