Which companies have talent development figured out?

Identifying and nurturing the next generation of leaders in an organisation is one of the most critical aspects of talent management and Asia’s best HR teams have their talent and leadership development programmes down to an art.

They will be awarded at the HR Excellence Awards, Asia’s most respected awards recognising and celebrating excellence in outstanding human capital strategy and execution, happening in Kuala Lumpur on 4 October, in Hong Kong on 6 October, and in Singapore on 9 October.

Aditi Sharma Kalra, regional editor of Human Resources magazine, explained that the Excellence in Employee Development award also looks at how career and engagement programmes fulfil organisational goals.

“This award mirrors the objective of the HR Excellence Awards 2016 to promote growth, competence, and integrity in people management and leadership.”

Telecommunications firm Hong Kong Broadband Network landed on the silver spot and renowned property firm Sino Group of Hotels secured the bronze award.

“The Excellence in Employee Development award will reveal the HR teams that are innovative in many ways and adept at human capital strategy,” said Jenilyn Rabino, regional producer at Human Resources magazine.

“The judges will analyse how the programmes translate into positive results, deliver relevant impact on employees and drive growth for the company.”
