Top HR executives from major companies across the region, such as ABR Holdings, AmBank and Ericsson, are proudly joining the roster of speakers at HR Tech Interactive, the regional invitation-only HR technology event for HR leaders and senior HRIS specialists.

Together, they will uncover the hottest trends, innovative solutions and strategic business agendas that drive HR tech investments.

HR Tech Interactive 2016 is a one-day conference for HR business and technology specialists happening in Hong Kong on 30 September, in Kuala Lumpur on 6 September, and in Singapore on 15 September.

“Organisations are now more willing to invest in technology because it brings significant results and efficiency to various HR activities, such as talent management, recruitment and administrative functions,” said Aditi Sharma Kalra, regional editor of Human Resources magazine.

“This is why the speakers at HR Tech Interactive 2016 will share their secrets on how to devise and execute an HR tech strategy that can generate successful cases in terms of costs and benefits.”

HR Tech Interactive will tackle issues the latest HR technology research has found to be affecting the HR community and businesses in general, including big data analytics, workforce management systems, mobile-enabled processes, social media campaigns, and talent management applications.

Among the experts discussing these at HR Tech Interactive 2016 are:

James Foo boasts over 15 years of experience in both strategic and operational HR. Today, he is the head of group human resources at ABR Holdings, handling human resources strategies that accelerate the company’s expansion and cultivate a performance-based work environment.

ABR Holdings’ brands includes Swensen’s, Earle Swensen’s, YogenFruz, Season, Tip Top and Hello Kitty Cafe. Before he joined ABR, Foo worked for Mövenpick Heritage Hotel Sentosa as director of human resources and for other key players in the hospitality industry including Resorts World Sentosa, Parkroyal, CapitaLand and Raffles Hotels & Resorts. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Western Sydney.

A veteran in the HR industry, Azaharin Abd Latiff is the senior vice president for group HR operations and projects at AmBank. With over 20 years experience in HR, he has been exposed to several industries in different countries, such as United States, China, Indonesia and Singapore.

Before he joined AmBank, Latiff worked at Affin Bank, Standard Chartered, Citibank and RHB. He also served as the Asia Pacific regional human resource manager for Cabot Corporation. Latiff graduated with a bachelor of science degree in business administration, major in human resources at Heidelberg College.

As the regional head of talent acquisition region for Asia South & Oceania at Ericsson Telecommunications, Dave Ansell is in charge of nurturing the talent acquisition capability of the organisation at all levels as it evolves into a more IT-centric and services-led company.

His strategy is to carry out a consistent and effective global employer brand and recruitment strategy throughout Asia. Ansell’s areas of expertise include mobile technology, wireless networking, cloud computing, resource management and talent acquisition. He is a graduate of University College London and the University of Manchester.

Past HR Tech Interactive participants are senior HR leaders from major employers in the region, such as AXA, Credit Suisse, Ericsson, Hewlett Packard, Hyatt Group, Maersk, Petronas, SocieteGenerale, UPS, and Volvo.

All presenters and panellists, such as David Chin, chief human resources officer at Biosensors, were director or vice president level HR professionals with regional responsibility.

Held in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong in September, HR Tech Interactive is Asia’s biggest HR technology strategy event. Attendance to the one-day annual event is by invitation only with invitations reserved for the senior in-house HR professionals.

Human Resources’ “interactive-style” conference format applies to case study presentations, panel discussions and roundtable discussions in which delegates work through five topic areas in a single day – an experience described by attendees as eight hours of intense peer learning.

Senior HR professionals interested in getting a global and Pan-Asian regional view of HR tech can visit the event website www.hrtechinteractive.asia.
