The big shifts in the HR technology landscape constantly bring challenges to HR operations, decision-making, management and other areas of HR that rely on modernised systems and tools.
But there are organisations that thrive and stand out in the field of HR tech.
They will be named at the HR Excellence Awards, Asia’s most respected awards recognising and celebrating excellence in outstanding human capital strategy and execution, happening in Kuala Lumpur on 4 October, in Hong Kong on 6 October, and in Singapore on 9 October.
According to Aditi Sharma Kalra, regional editor of Human Resources magazine, the Excellence in Innovative Use of HR Tech Award will recognise creative efforts in utilising technology across HR functions.
“Investing in the latest software and applications is not always the same with integrating the technology into an organisation’s system in an innovative way,” she said.
“The HR Excellence Awards 2016 jury will perform a thorough judging process that will examine the concepts, features and methods involved in each entry.”
Last year, the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore and multinational consumer goods company Unilever shared the gold prize of the Excellence in Innovative Use of HR Tech Award in Singapore.
They were followed by hospitality group SilverNeedle Hospitality, which grabbed the silver award, and gateway and food solutions provider SATS, which took home the bronze prize.
The gold trophy of the Excellence in Innovative Use of HR Tech Award at the 2015 HR Excellence Awards in Malaysia was awarded to multinational conglomerate Sime Darby.
Meanwhile, British American Tobacco, a leading international tobacco group, won the silver award, while IHS Global,a global information company, grabbed the bronze award.
“The Excellence in Innovative Use of HR Tech Award is a title coveted by organisations that want to keep up with competition and thrive in an era when many businesses are heavily relying on technology,” said Jenilyn Rabino, regional producer at Human Resources magazine.
“The HR Excellence Awards 2016 is looking for strategic technology-led initiatives that have allowed a company to streamline their processes without hurting their financial performance.”
The HR Excellence Awards 2016 will be judged by over 60 seasoned regional heads of HR from around Asia, making the HR Excellence Awards the only HR awards in Asia based on a peer review system.
Companies represented on the HR Excellence Awards jury are the most respected Fortune 500 organisations and some of the biggest employers in Asia.
