Leading software provider Sage has joined HR Tech Interactive, a regional invitation-only HR technology event for HR leaders and senior HRIS specialists.

HR Tech Interactive 2016 is a one-day conference for HR business and technology specialists happening in Hong Kong on 30 September, in Kuala Lumpur on 6 September, and in Singapore on 15 September.

“The digital era has changed the way employees communicate with the companies and manage work”, said Leny Januar, business development manager, Sage. “HR transformation whilst embracing digital technology will be essential to manage HR Functions effectively”.

Januar will be presenting on “Unlocking the potential within HR functions”, shedding light on the key trends and impacts of the digitalisation of HR and business and how people strategy can be aligned with business strategy.

Januar graduated with a computer science degree from the University of Alberta. She has more than 20 years experience in HR and payroll solutions providing assistance to many customers in the areas of implementing and automating the company’s HR system.

Her expertise also includes payroll solutions throughout the region, including Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Thailand and Brunei. She also speaks at seminars in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia on effective HR and payroll solutions and using technology through automation and integration.

Januar will be joined by Yaj Malik, executive vice-president and managing director at Sage, who will be hosting a roundtable session on “Big Data Talent Analytics”. Malik will lead the discussion on how HR practitioners can use workforce data to bring about greater efficiencies and decision-making.

Malik was appointed the executive vice-president and managing director of Sage in late 2015. He has more than 20 years of leadership experience in building high growth software businesses and has led sales transformation charters across many technology organisations in Asia Pacific.
