Abbott has a passion for diversity – in their people, products, technologies and markets, says Debbie Rogers, HR director (APAC) at Abbott Nutrition International.
“Maintaining a diverse and inclusive work environment is fundamental to our business strategy as it provides the company with a range of perspectives and insights that help us better understand and connect with the people we serve.”
As well as maintaining a diverse mindset to unite their workforce, Rogers says a robust diversity and inclusion programme allows an organisation to tap onto more innovative ideas.
“At Abbott we hold ourselves to the highest of standards. We draw from our diverse backgrounds to bring the best ideas to the table, which fosters sustainable success for the business and for our people.”
Rogers will join Recruitment Interactive 2013 as part of the panel discussion on embracing diversity to foster sustainable success.
Speakers on this panel also include:
- Sehr Ahmed, senior director of HR APAC, Middle East & Africa at McDonald’s
- Jacqueline Rolf, head of diversity and inclusion at Standard Chartered Bank
- Subarna Malakar, head of diversity and inclusion Asia at Thomson Reuters
- Amita Chaudhury, global diversity director at Unilever.
Recruitment Interactive 2013 will take place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Singapore on November 28.
As the HR director for Abbotts’s APAC region, Rogers looks after a commercial workforce of nearly 5,000 employees from nine markets.
She was formerly the HR director for Abbott Diabetes Care business covering EMEA, Latin America and Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Abbott in 2009, Debbie ran her own HR consultancy firm and previously held UK-based HR leadership roles at Marks & Spencer, Constructor Dexion and DuPont & Fuji Film Electronic Imaging.
